Great hospitality. Leaky revenue.
Most independents aren't short on demand. They lose it in a few predictable places, because nobody has time to watch them every day.
Fees on guests you could own
Booking sites, reservation platforms and delivery apps take a cut of every guest they send, and keep the relationship. Few independents give guests a reason to come direct.
Enquiries that wait
Group, event and late-night enquiries sit for hours while the team is busy. By the time someone replies, the guest has booked elsewhere.
Guests who never come back
You've already paid to win every past guest. Without a thank-you, a review request and a reason to return, most never hear from you again.
Marketing that happens in bursts
A busy month means no posts, no review replies and a quieter Google profile. Visibility rises and falls with your schedule.
Commission on guests you could own
Booking.com and Expedia take 15–25% of every stay they send and keep the guest's details. Most independent hotels give guests no real reason to book direct.
Enquiries that wait
Group, wedding and late-night enquiries sit for hours while the front desk is busy. By the time someone replies, the guest has booked elsewhere.
Past guests who never return
You already paid to win every past guest. Without a thank-you, a review request and a reason to come back, next year's stay goes through a booking site again, or somewhere else.
Quiet dates stay quiet
Low season and weekday gaps rarely get their own offer, package or campaign, while competitors are already promoting theirs.
Fees on guests you could own
Delivery apps can take up to 30% of an order, and reservation platforms charge per cover while keeping the guest's details. Few restaurants give diners a reason to come direct.
Enquiries that wait
Private dining, birthdays and group bookings sit in DMs and inboxes during service. By the time someone replies, the party has booked elsewhere.
First visits that don't become regulars
Most first-time diners never hear from you again. A thank-you, a review request and a reason to return turn them into the regulars who fill quiet nights.
Reviews and posts in bursts
A busy week means unanswered reviews and a quiet Instagram. The places that reply to everyone are the ones Google and AI assistants recommend.
One growth operating system, run by AI and owned by a strategist.
We plug into the channels you already use, put a specialized AI agent on each growth lever, and report on the numbers that matter: direct revenue, repeat guests and reputation.
1
Audit
We benchmark your visibility, reviews, content and booking funnel against local competitors.
2
Install
Your agents connect to Google, your booking tools, social and email, usually within two weeks.
3
Run
Agents work daily, replying, publishing and following up, inside guardrails you approve.
4
Grow
Monthly strategy sessions turn the data into next month's plan.
Nothing goes out that you wouldn't say yourself.
Every agent learns your venue from your profile: menu, rooms, policies, how you sound. You decide what needs your OK. Most owners let five-star review replies go out on their own and approve everything else with one tap.

"Great rooftop, but our room was noisy until 2am."
Hi Tom, thank you for staying with us and for the kind words about the rooftop. I'm sorry the noise kept you up; that's not the night's sleep we want for anyone. I'd like to hear more and make it right. Could you email me at [email protected]? — Ana, General Manager

Be the answer when guests ask AI.
More guests now ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity where to eat and stay. Northlight asks those assistants the questions your guests ask, shows who they recommend instead of you, and has your Visibility Agent fix the gaps. That's generative engine optimization (GEO), done for you.

Questions owners ask
Does it work with my PMS or booking engine?
Yes. Northlight doesn't replace anything. New reviews, enquiries and bookings reach your agents through a private link that works with Cloudbeds, Mews, Little Hotelier, SiteMinder and most others via Zapier or Make, and approved work goes back out the same way. Your setup checklist walks you through it, or book a free setup call.
Does it work with OpenTable, Resy, SevenRooms or TheFork?
Yes. Northlight sits alongside your reservation and POS systems. Reviews, enquiries and reservations reach your agents through a private link that works with most platforms via Zapier or Make. Nothing to switch, no retraining.
What is GEO, and why does it matter?
Generative engine optimization is making sure AI assistants recommend you when someone asks where to eat or stay. Those assistants build answers from your website, your listings, your reviews and the guides they trust. Northlight measures how often you're recommended, finds what's missing, and has your Visibility Agent fix it: structured data, answer-ready FAQ content, consistent listings and outreach to the sources assistants cite.
Do I have to change the tools I use?
No. Northlight connects to what you already have. New reviews, inquiries and bookings flow in through a private intake address that works with Zapier, Make or your booking system's webhooks, and approved work goes back out the same way. Your setup checklist walks you through each connection.
Who approves what gets published?
You do. Each agent has an approval setting: approve everything, auto-approve low-risk work like five-star review replies, or auto-approve all. You can edit any draft before it goes out.
What does the strategist do?
Every month Northlight drafts a report from your numbers and your agents' work. A strategist reviews it, sets next month's three priorities with targets, and meets with you to go through it.
How long until it's working?
Your audit is ready minutes after you sign up. When you start a plan, your agents are created straight away and your first drafts arrive the same day. Most venues finish connecting their channels within two weeks.
Can I start with just one or two agents?
Yes. Starter gives you one agent for $400 a month or two for $700, chosen from Reputation, Lifecycle and Visibility: the three that pay off fastest. Your audit suggests which to start with. You can swap agents every 30 days, and moving up to the AI Growth System at any time adds the rest of the team and a strategist.
Can I cancel?
Yes. The AI Growth System and Full AI CMO are monthly: cancel from the billing portal and your agents pause at the end of the paid period. Starter has a 3-month minimum so your agents have time to show results, then it's monthly too. Moving up to a bigger plan ends the minimum early. Your data stays either way.
Who is Northlight for?
